Default 500 Renegade v 750i Brute Force

Guys, new to the forum but want some advice. I’ve just sold my 750i Brute Force and looking to get hold of a Renegade over here in the UK. Prices are mad for the 800 but I can get hold of a 500 at affair price. My question is what would the performance be like in comparison to my old Brute also another thing I need to take into account is the MPG, over here in the UK fuel is over 8 dollars a gallon!!

But my main question is if the 500 will give me the same performance as the Brute I will go for one of them, I did upgrade the primary clutch spring to an EPI maroon on the KVF.

Any advice would be good

Thanks
Chris

Welcome to the forum. IMO they would be close performance wise, the 500 has a strut front end which can get mushy with not many upgrades available. I would think the gas mileage would be close as well.

If you are talking about speed and off the line pick up i think the 750i would outshine the rennegade by a decent amount. BUT speed isnt everything. I had a 2008 brute 750i but now im on a rennegade.

I found a HP rating chart from 2008 as far as power goes the above poster was right on with his power comments. We ride with 2 Outy 500's and as far as REAL world performance they work as well as the other bikes in the group from the BF 650/750 to Outy 800 as far as trail riding, deep mud is another story. Road riding, we don't do a bunch of that so I can't offer a comparison there. I know Can Am has upped the HP since this table was printed, not sure on the other brands. For comparison the Outy 500 and Rene 500 have the same motor but the clutching, I believe, is a little different, so the Rene is a little more performance oriented.

Heh heh heh, that might be more costly with gas flowing all over the ground, lol, or line ups going for miles with people taking an hour to fill up.
