So updates :

Got some infos from the bike owner.

The exhaust system is handmade from this company :

http://www.stueber-auspuffanlagen.de/index2.html

It is made as he wanted it. Design, sound and how loud it has to be. So the price will varies, depending on the time, material, etc.

For germany, it is possible for some extra money, that they will have the system proven to be streetlegal including all needed papers. Okay, for you guys in the US or CDN, that won't be necessary, but shipping and customs(import taxes) would be way to high - I guess !

Cu,
Sven

I still need one of these! Coolest Rene exhaust I've seen so far!

Anyone know who in North America could build something like this?

Demolition Man - thanks for researching this. Any ballpark guess on price? Or any work done to see power gains? Do you know if they tuned the bike after?

Actually that has been the only informations I got from the owner, BUT I asked him about what he paid for THIS / HIS exhaust. Still waiting for an answer. If I get an answer, I will post it here. Than I also can ask him about power gains and / or tuning.

Sven

Just a few seconds ago, I got this answer from him :

He talked with the manufactor :
Stüber Homepage

and the price for an exhaust system like his ones, would be approx. 650 Euro plus tax (19%). plus shipping ! Don't know, if possible to get a tax refund after export the exhaust system. Never asked, thought or needed that.

Euro - US-$ from today is : 855 US-$ plus 19% sales tax (163 US-$)

Total : 1018 US-$ PLUS SHIPPING ! ! !

I would GUESS ! that the shipping would be additional 150 US-$ to 300 US-$ to get it into the USA or CDN.

Okay, PERHAPS some tax refund, but know exactly...

Thats what i will be doing monday or so. I just have to go and get 2 2'' elbows. I already did the muffler mod on the one side on the right side now i will cut a 2'' hole on the lefts side and cut the inside out like the right side and weld the 2'' elbow on the left side. Hope to be done by middle of the week.

That would be awesome. It would work great!
You would need another stock exhaust for the tail-pipe and to cut out the flange for the tail-pipe.
It would take very little time.

I don't think its going to look real good, because the heat shield is not centered on the muffler, so one pipe will have to be completely different from the other as far as location, length, ect. I'll stick with one, because the heat shield covers the flange, whereas your welding will be all exposed on the left side and the inlet pipe will still be dangling down on the left.......

either way, try it and see what happens.
