Battery problems on 2012 1000

I was just wondering if anyone else is having problems. In July I had to get jumped when out on a trail ride. On Monday I went on ride turned it off went to start & wouldn't crank. Last nite I took it to dealer, today they said battery is fine. It's because the EFI takes more power then what the charging system puts out. If that is true, you would think they would make the charging system put out more.

Charging

That sounds rediculous. They increased the charging system recently should be better than ever.

check the ground wire going to the rear cylinder head. I've seen some of these loose. this will cause poor charging.

these 1000's have the most powerful charging system. 400 and 650 watt stators. they double and triple what most other atv's output.

the reason for these having such strong charging systems is POWER STEERING!!! that's why pwoer steering models have the upgraded 650 watt stator instead of the 400 watt standard stator.

Bad battery OR loose connections. Unless the atv isn't charging??

I keep getting limp mode and P code 0262 which is cylinder #1 injector shorted to battery. Iv only been getting this since I did my snorkels and had to remove that metal plate that all those wires are connected to and just ground them to the frame. Could my problem have something to do with these grounds?
