I installed mine a long time ago in the dash of my Gade. Now i can see when my fan comes on. Also, now, if the fan DOESN'T work, but the LED comes on, you can EXCLUDE the TPS, fuse and relay.

It's VERY easy!

Hardware needed: 1 LED(color of own choise), 1 rubber LED-holder(or plastic clip, can be found in any store that sell's LED's), a resistor and a small lenght of thin, 2-pole electrical wire. You can all get this for less then $2.

First solder the resistor to the POSITIV(+) pole of the LED. (long leg) Or you can solder it inline in the wire(+). Then connect the wire to the Fan wiring. BE SURE TO GET THE POS. AND NEG.POLES CORRECT, otherwise it's bye bye LED!

The link below will help you to choose the correct resistor. Not every LED has the same voltage. For ex. Red LED = 2V. Blue = 3.3V Most common LED for this aplication is the 3mm LED. The pic show's an example for a common RED LED, to connect to a 12 Volt source. In the link, click on the queston mark to find out what voltages the different LED-colors have.

Here's the link for LED)resistor caculations.

Just remenber to get the +(long leg on LED) and - correct.

Hope this helpsa few guy's overhere.

Cool!

You can get LED's that are allready 12 volt ready, they have a resistor "built in". :2cent:

Actually an LED is a diode and is designed to be forward or reversed. It will simply not allow current to pass and the LED will not light. It won't destroy the LED, it just won't work. No worries.
