Just received my hitch from Dick's ATV. I have to tell you, my first impression was "Wow that only cost $39?". It is a solid piece with good, strong looking welds. It came with4 - 5/16" grade 8 bolts, a tensioning bolt w/ locking nutto stopyour draw bar from rattling and even a pin and clip. I will have more to say when I install it on my Outlander but for now I will say "Sweet Deal"
It mounted very easy. I put this old draw bar in it for the picture. The ball (on this draw bar)sits about 8" back from the original position. When I buy my new drawbar, I will drill new holes so it sits a little closer. This is only because I use a Louisiana Guard Dog on my truck and need my wheeler to sit back far enough to clear my tool box.
I think bombman has a good product here and it is worth the reg price of $50but most definitely worth the 40 bucks with our discount. I can't wait to see all the accessories they are working on for this thing. When you call to order anything from them be sure to tell them your user name and that your from Aurora Wheelers to get your discount.:thumb2:
Here is a pic with the drawbar shortened up approx. 2"

That is a heck of a deal. Before they had that available, I fabricated one the same way with two pieces of steel making up the base...but I do not have the locking nut. I can say that I would not make one for $39.00! It takes time to get all the pieces cut, ground and welded, plus the cost of the receiver tube is about $18.00 by itself. Great buy for the Outies!

You will see it listed on their website under "Specials" for $49.99. Tell Mike or Dick when you call that your from Aurora Wheelers and get $10 off that price.

Wow! I think I will go ahead and get one. I would like to find one of those Light weight "Hitch-Hauls" to go in there (The one where the receiver tube dog legs to bring the platform higher off the ground). It would be great for hauling things around the house without having to drop my rear box. Let me know if anyone knows where I can find one of those things.

Done! I just talked with him on the phone. They will have another batch made next week. He said that he just had been spray painting them and I had an in depth conversation with him on Powder Coating (He did not really know what that was). I think I peaked his interest and he is going to dig into it a little further. He also said he will ship me mine Without any paint so I can powder coat it myself at home (I have the Craftsman Kit).

Do you just put it in your kitchen oven then to bake it or what? I looked at the kit in a catalog, but didn't know what toabout baking?

You can get an adapter that slides inside a 2" from almost anywhere, that reduces the receiver insert to 1.25" (Class 1).
Even with powder coating I always put a couple coats (thick stuff) of Dupli-Color's sprayed truck bed touch up paint (Walmarts). After a year or so on WI salty roads and my nice new hitches on the cars start rusting. Until I coated them. Now they stay nice looking for several years, then I just rebrush them.
Always have used either a SS or cadmium plated bolt, (2) thick washers, and nut instead of a locking pin and it eliminates another source of rattles.

Yes, I baked it in my kitchen oven for about 20 minutes. I had never done powdercoating before last week. I think the Craftsman Powdercoating system was $189 at Sears. I did a quick read of the instructions in the box and then tried it out on the exhaust pipe for my tractor as a test. It went flawlessly and looked awesome when I was done. It was super easy and kind of fun. As long as the item is small enough to fit in my kitchen oven I can powdercoat it right here at home. Sears sells dozens of different colors of powder with different textures also.
