I have the stage one crutchfields on my outy. In my opinion they are the best $ I have spent on it. At 500 very hard miles they are still going strong with no issues.
Ed's service is second to none. No I do not get payed to say any of this.
So if any one is thinking of getting some new shocks BUY CRUTCHFIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm here to tell you guys, Ed's shocks are the best thing you can do for your Outlander aside from Ricochets. I got to test ride a 2010. While the '10 was a tad faster (a whole bike length, big whoopdiedoo), I simply couldn't believe the difference between a stock machine and mine with the Crutchfields on it. No comparison. An Outlander with stock shocks at the high speeds it's capable of is kind of scary. Get back on the Crutchfield equipped Outlander, and the world's a better place! Expensive? Oh yes. Worth it? Every penny.

I just love reading this thread...
I get angered every time I bottom out, on every bump, every ride. I'd like to say it was my fault for riding too hard or overloading the machine but the fact is that the stock suspension is junk.
I figured by time I fiddled with all of the different spring combo's, etc, I would have spent 500 beans or more and all I would have is a box of parts I would never use again with an angry owner.
After reading all of your reviews (and every other post I could find) I went and pulled the trigger today on a new set of Cruch's from Ed. I went with the Stage II's in front, I's in back, extreme's on both.
Thanks again for all or your comments and help on this forum. I hope this are as good as you say they are!
