Hi:
I have put 500 miles on my Outty and It performs great...
but one dissapointment is the bad suspension/shocks it has OEM..

So, I have heard allot of this shocks so Im interested in trying out a set for my ATV...

but Im no expert in this field so I need your help...
most of the time I travel with my ATV is to camp so I always carry a load...
fron and rear boxes with cooler, tools, 2 Small Rotopax fuel cells...

When cornering tha ATV dives dangerously and rocks always hit the skidplate..

I dont know what type of shock is needed for the sront and rear of my ATV.

Im not a racer, but I do ride aggresively, like also the tough technical terrain..

So, what can you advice???

Give Ed, at Crutchfield a call or try his email, he's a good guy and will figure out what you need.:thumb2:

Outlandish:
Here is a doubt I have...
Im suposed to provide my weight and the Aprox weight I put on my ATV in boxes, gear, fuel tank's and such...
but my ATV is 2 up...so sometimes I ride by myself and sometimes I ride with a partner,....sometimes y may ride with all my camping gear and sometimes not..

The weight varies allot....so is the shock setup tuneable over such a wide weight setup?? or when my ATV is fully loaded will I have to preload it all the way so I wont bottom up, like it does right now???

What will happen when im riding by miself with no gear??? will I have a super hard ride, and It will become plush only when I load my gear!!!
or can I configure it in varios load scenarios???

Just curiosity???

Those are the questions you need to ask ED. You might need a different set of springs for a heavy loador light load.

Burner, Don't worry about that...I have a set of Crutchfields on my bike, I ride sometimes with nothing on the bike at all and at times such as a recent trip to Utah...as much as 200 pounds of "stuff" strapped on there...The bike rode fine every time, no problems at all. I think most trail riders over think this whole "tuning" the suspension thing too much...Ed is a very smart guy, tell him what you are doing with the bike and he will choose a spring setup that wil work just right for you.

I ride with a guy who has a set of Elkas on an 800 Max, he too has had no problems in going from a light to a heavy load on his bike, but IMO, the Crutchfields are able to support these heavier loads and still offer ground clearance, the Elkas held up the weight, but also dropped down a couple of inches...plus the Crutchfields are cheaper...

I also vary the weight a lot on my crutchfields. I also ride my outy like I stole it then take it hunting(lots of Gear) and find the Crutchfields to be perfect.

Ed Crutchfield is the best and his customer service is second too none in my opinion.

If I ever buy shocks again it will be Ed's
