I run 91 octane in my 05 DS650. Is it safe to run 94 octane?

Why? The lower the octane the more power you have...
Do you have a reason to need high octane, such as high compression motor work?

I have some, and don't want it to go to waste. No motor work, YET... Planning on a BIG BORE kit.

I'd just mix it with lower octane gas to use it up then.

you only need octane if the engine requires it.
by that i mean this... as compression goes up in an engine, it reqiures higher octane feul so the motor does not deatanate or ping itself to death. Our motors are low enough compression that premium feul is a waste. will not give you any more power and has even shown on dyno results that it can hinder hp figures, if to high of a octane rating is used. (car related)
You don't get more or less power using regular over premium or visa versa.
if your compression is to high for regular, then you will ping and lose power, therefore wanting to use higher octane fuel to make the engine not ping and produce the power it can.

I've run alot of dyno tests with fuel and as stated above a higher octane fuel will decrease your hp.I tested 100 octane sunoco in my ninja and it lost 4hp to 89 octane.Without the compression your wasting your money.

But, to answer your question, it won't hurt it unless you hear pinging (doubt it would knock as that is usually from a lower grade).

What about Ethenol? Right now it is hard to find a dealer selling regular gas without 10% E.
I remember the dealer warning me about Ethenol in my Outtie, so I have avoided it with supreme gas. Is this stupid?

^^^^I wouldn't say stupid. There are lots of opinions on it as well as misinformation.
I've posted this before (and took crap for it) but I think the PHDs who did the study have an opinion that is worth more than what some dealer has to say. http://pods.dasnr.okstate.edu/docush...AE-1746pod.pdf
I am by no means a proponent of ethanol. I think it is a waste of corn and it drives food prices up, but I also don't like anecdotal evidence being passed off as fact.

You can get 89 octane in the US without ethanol, but most places the premium/supreme has 10% ethanol as well as 89.
