Yes, In 5 hours I've gotten 3 pop's out the exhaust after letting off from 10-15% throttle. So it's definitely effecting things, that's why I want Renelander to do this so I can see his before and after map so I can adjust mine somewhat close.
So if you want to be the guinea pig...

Id like to hear from more 1000 owners that do it first before i rip it all apart. It feels nice to have it all back together...

Not with a stock exhaust I wouldn't think. Are you 100% stock?
You could try and mod it like I did if your worried about anything.
If your stock I would go with adjusting your clutch before I messed with this mod. I would suggest upgrading your Primary Spring to a Tan spring from Dalton, or if you like high engagement go with green/yellow. Then come back and ask.

If you want it to idle at 4000 rpm leave the holes open.
I did this to my 1000, I saw about 1-1.4 rwhp gain in the lower speeds. you DO have to add a ton of fuel to the front cylinder. which this seems to affect most.
just in the 5-25% throttle range I saw the most drastic changes.

You did "MY (and Renelander's)" mod or you removed it completely?

You will need to add fuel somehow, yes, and this is a NEED situation, not a "want" situation, but you NEED to get your holes soldered shut aswell, or do like MY mod and mill the wedge.
