ATV deck/towing rv??

anybody using an ATV deck on while towing a bumper pull holiday trailer?

I know alot of trailers have slightly different neck lengths but I'm curious how much your deck can extend back over your tailgate while still driving around comfortably??
I havent pulled the camper out yet to see but measured the rear overhang, It hangs 16" futher back than my rear bumper.

Re: ATV deck/towing rv??

My sled deck hangs over about the same and I pull an enclosed trailer just fine. Just can't turn 100% all the way. Prob 90%

Didn't have to cut the rear corners into 45's?

That hangs a bit more than mine. You might have troubles unless the trailer has a long tongue. If not, you can make a hitch that's a little longer to give yourself some extra room

Two quads is a lot of weight plus the trailer tongue weight. Not sure what your truck payload is or trailer size but adding tongue weight adds up. My 26' Carson toy hauler is near max 7000 lbs with just 1 quad (1000lbs) plus another 417 lbs for 50 gallons water after I add gear and food. Tongue weight is close to 1000 lbs loaded 850 unloaded.

Re: ATV deck/towing rv??

Depends if its a half ton, 3/4, tonner, air bags or not. That 1k tongue weight is a lot for a little 26 footer. That's as much as my 38' 5th wheel Montana. And that quad and water are in the back which takes tongue weight off. Run a hitch extender, and if its a 3/4 ton or less, use air bags.
