Power loss when getting wet

My xmr 1000 seems to lose power when I go threw water, nothing deep. Thought water might have been getting in my clutch but no sign of that. Today i went for a ride and ran amazing until I got home and washed my machine. After a wash I lost power again making me come to a conclusion that it has to be water getting in an electrical connection. Machine only has 350 km on it, pretty new. Any thoughts?

Also like to add that my DESS keys are programmed reverse. Green is performance and white/grey is normal. Not sure if this could be an issue

Does it run rough after water? Could just be water getting in spark plug boots, a little Di electric grease in those goes a long way

Doesn’t seem to run rough. Almost feels like it’s in limp mode

sounds like you are loosing a cylinder. They are week as pond water when one cylinder is not firing. Like darknight says, check your plugs and wires. Sparkplugs are cheap. I'd start there. maybe spray some water around it and see if you can duplicate the issue.

Before you take it in take plug boots off blow them out with compressed air put some dielectric grease in there and test it out...100$ an hour shop rate is no joke and a last resort in my garage...couldnt afford to ride my bike like I do if have to take to the dealer every hiccup.
