Outlander 850 - hmf qs and hmf fuel programmer

Bought them together and installed them tonight. Site I bought them from said the progrAmmer will be plug and play without the need to make adjustments as it will come programmed for my bike.

Installed them both tonight, and it's not running well. Gassing it hard it gets around 45mph and dies for a sec and picks up and then dies again.

At low rpm it runs better but barely spin the tires on Full throttle which isnt like what the stock exhaust would do.

Does it run better with the programmer disconnected? If so, you found your problem. Either the unit is faulty or you have a bad connection, bad ground or wrong program in it.

Double check all connections. Could be faulty unit as well, its happened. Also the whole plug and play without touching is nonesense. Every bike is different and will require slightly different fueling.

I did notice before putting plastics all back on. That when rvving the motor lights 2345 would go red. Is that normal?

when you disconnect it you just need to remove the ground and it will go back to the stock fueling. i would double check what its set at and go from there. just check the instructions on how to do it its pretty easy and try the recommended settings. the settings can be close but if your at elevation that can change things and you may need less.

That worked I must had a lose connection. U snapped all 4 and resnapped them. Unplugged the ground off battery. Plugged all back in and reconnected ground and it straightened up.
