John can better answer this but he actually tested different headers and that's how they came up with dual 2 into 1 into two cans with equal pipe lengths. True duals don't make as much hp. The 6 was a single can full system "2012 CanAm Outlander 1000 Stainless Steel Exhaust System with Polished Oval Aluminum Canister" but like I said that was a 3rd party number.

2012 Outlander 1000R XT, Muzzy duals (black), PCV, QSC clutch, Elka stage 4's. 2010 Polaris 850XP LE, 2005 840 BF build

If you want to hear a good example of how the single would sound. cover one of your mufflers with your hand.

then remove your hand and be glad you bought the duals.

the sound is killer.

I'm going to upload some vids tonight.

I went down to wally world and read a dirt wheel review this morning on the new g2 2012 800's and was shocked at the weight... Dirt wheels weighed the machines with fluids 880 lbs. Its even heavier than old winning turd... Polaris 850's.

That's what I said to the guy on the kawy forum that said he raced a new 2012 800 and blew it away.

the weight of the 800 is definatly going to hamper it's performance.

I'm going to get my 1000 on the Longacre scales. I'd bet with me on it i'm easily 1100 pounds.

I'll weigh the outty 1000 and weigh the renegade 1000 and a 2012 brute 750.

PCV, clutch work and Muzzy pipe with some dyno tuning. that's all it took to make it run like that.

for some reason that 800 was faster than others.
