      Wireless winch control looks like a good idea to me. Something like this:

      Just wondering if it is as straight forward to install and operate as it seems. Any advice from anyone with first hand experience would be appreciated.

      I bought the harbor freight wireless add on. It basically ties into the solenoid coil where the handlebar switch hooks up to and also gives me an option for a wired extension if I wish.

      But its hook up is basicaly the same as this one . Switched power ( or +12v all the time depending on how your winch contactor is wired) ground, reverse, forward ... Pretty straight forward with minimal electrical skills required. Minimum needed would be a VOM to check the voltages on current solenoid..
