Hello this is my first post as i just got an 05 outlander xt 4x4. After changing the differential oil, motor oil etc I decided to put a couple of pumps of grease in the grease certs of the u joints and found that a typical grease hose cant get in there..Is there some trick or special grease tool i need to do this? Also what else can i or should i grease/lube up? Thanks

The rear grease fitting is best acessed from left side of the bike, put the bike in nuetral and push bike until the fitting is facing you . My grease gun fits in no problem, the other u joint in the rear is acessed from the right side with the same procedure of moving bike until fitting is facing you. Good Luck

I found that you can get to all the grease points on the universals but the shaft has to be in the right position. From memory the front from the righthand side, centre from underneath and the rear from the lefthand side. Just push the bike back and forward till you get the right position.
