I’m new here just joined and I have a 2010 renegade 500 with an oil leak and I’m trying to figure out what this plug is and how I could get to it. Anything would be helpful thanks in advance.

I'm thinking item #7 is what you're looking at:

Looks like you're gonna need to remove your motor mount bolts and airbox, hopefully get enough room to jack the motor up in the frame, so you can remove and reseal that plug.

You're certain that's the source of the leak?

Yea I think so I’ve cleaned everything with brake cleaner and it slowly started to come back. I’ve checked both sides of the case, top end, and front/rear seals all dry.
