I'm on a waiting list at my local dealer in New Brunswick, Canada, for a commander. They just called me up and let me know that one came in, and I said "no thanks" because I assumed it was a 2011 model.

They then told me that it in fact is a 2012 model (X package), so I told them I'd be in tomorrow to grab it. I'm skeptical now though because the dealer show hasn't even happened yet, but this is supposed to be a 2012? What do you guys think?

My dealer had a 2012 Commander in about 6 days ago. It was a 800 they were setting it up when I was in there to pick up a part for my outlander. I did see the papers saying it was a 2012 model. The salesman claimed there were no changes but, we all know how knowledgeable salesmen can be!

If BRP didnt change anything on it. And lets face it they just released it so to go and re engineer the machine would be a huge expense nothing says they didnt change this little thing here move this a little that way. But if they built and sold all there 2011 models and the dealers are screaming for more they would release the 2012 supply.

They could also release them as 2012 machines and then later on release a 2012.5 with some upgrades you never know.

Not real sure on differences between the 2011 and 2012 models seeing as though I've never seen a 2011. Got any questions? Maybe if you have a particular issue I can have a look at mine and see if it's been corrected.

So there's no hole in my tire, the bead just wasn't sealed properly. I gotta bring the tire back into the dealer so they can fix it.

Would you guys recommend buying accessories (roof , windshield etc) off eBay or is it just as cheap to buy from online vendors?

Edit: Lewis I'll throw some pics up once I figure it out. Is there small holes in the 2011 that let water enter and escape your floorboards if you go into water? Mine has them and it's great for washing out that area after getting it muddy.

Good thing the tire doesn't have a hole! =D talk about luck haha

Hey tricky trev, I just put a hole in my drivers side floorboard. Damn piece of wood came up right between my legs. I noticed the floorboards are sectioned into about 3 or 4 pieces and screwed into the frame--- what did you do to fix yours? Can you buy floorboard sections from the dealer?

Hi bud
I've been lazy and haven't fixed it yet. I'ts the size of a cricket ball on the passenger side. I haven't priced a new floor yet, it wont be cheap. The commander is at the shop at the moment having the rear diff looked at. The whine hase been get worse.

I bought the BRP 1/2 windshield and right where the crease is... is where I look out.....it sucks big time, I'm to short to see over it..... removed mine and will find something else...if your wanting 1/2 windshield I would be willing to sell mine...Barbara

Barbara= I just cut 3 inches off the bottom of mine and it solved the problem .
