I'm almost positive it will have the commander diff because on the 2011s if you blow a diff and fix it under warrenty, that's what they replace it with.

The front facia won't change much if any.

Clutching will be a tad different due to motor size but it will still need work.

they are swapping other years too but the xmr still doesnt come with it
and if anything should, it should

at least the ones I have seen had the standard rear diff

That is my guess too, but I really hope I am wrong. I wonder (and hope) that the new 800R is not much, if anymore than the current 800R.

You buy from St Onge??

I wouldnt bet on anything until can-am releases it.

-Can am has the strongest OEM axles bar none.
-the frame has never really been a problem aside from a few people.....and most of that was user induced!
-the engine is great.....we all want more power, but I think the 800 is wonderful
-the front fascia is great to me too.....dont wanna ask for a new front end and end up with something resembling the new brute! LOL

For me....factory snorkels like the XMR, and a different primary clutch is all I would like to see.

Oh I seen a confidental dealer only report that said they are only making the outty 500 and rene 500 cause to many have been hurt on the bigger models!!!

No matter what they come out with I'll be good for another year or two. First year models always have to get the bugs worked out IMO.

well it would be nice if ya'all gave some specifics. i have serial #000115 X MR so if there is a difference we should be able to tell. i, by the way, have had no issues. i also am running cams and 48mm TB.? and if my tires arnt spinning i'm just playing with ya.

so a 1000 is gonna get you what? digging a deeper hole? we all have done that.

if this is true, it will be fun at the races. i havent even seen an AC 1000. 700-800s are not real common. and i'm talking hundreds of quads at the events i attend. and the CA kicks those classes, except for Murphy's Law: "it is often better to be lucky than good".

my guess is they are aware that there are BBKs avalible for that crowd.

I have heard this from two sources that would know
one of those sources had a commander 3 months before the public even saw a leaked pic of a machine that didnt exist
it is coming, and why not, its the same basic motor just a little taller jug and deeper crank
It almost fit the outlander and renegade frame already
and do a quick poll of how many will upgrade, that is why, because tim the tool man is my idol, I NEED MORE POWER
lol

In a little over two weeks we will know for sure. I honestly could care less if they made a 1000. I have almost got my 800 just like I want it and couldn't see starting from scratch building a new one. Plus I know my accountant (wife) wouldn't allow me to get a new one at this time or anytime in the near future. But if a sport commander were produced that would make my decision on a sxs a little harder.

Im with everyone else on this one... Ill believe it when I see it.

There are posts like this EVERY YEAR. There were posts about a Can Am SxS coming out so and so year, dealer confidential blah blah my buddy of a buddy who knows a guy blah blah for years before one was actually released.

To be honest. It makes no sense for Can Am to release a larger Big Bore at this time. The 800R is already at the top of the heap.
