Help!! This unit has been extremely well maintained and has been stored inside for its' entire life. Only about 250 hours on the unit. 99% of the usage on it is around our place doing the usual stuff like hauling firewood etc. It has NEVER been in the mud. It has been dealer serviced since new. The biggest issue I've had with it was with the start button one time and after replacing it all was fine. It has a space in our carport and has NEVER dripped a drop of ANY fluid.
So,,,the other day I hopped in it and ran up to my shop (about 500 yards) got what I needed , ran back to the house and then back to the shop and THEN I noticed the temp bars all the way up and the check engine light on and then in a few seconds the limp mode came on. I had , years before, installed a fan over ride switch on it ( Texas is hot ) so I threw that on and scooted back down the hil and parked it. No "smell" of any kind. I let it cool off for a couple of hours and then started it again and sure enough the temp bars started running up after a couple of minutes and I parked it.
I want to take it to the dealer to fix it but I'd like some thoughts on what MIGHT be the issue. I looked at an exploded diagram and could not find a thermostat???? in the parts diagram. The dealer said it might be a "temp sensor".
Any input appreciated.
