Finally bought the quad and already looking at tire options. I Want to go 28" zilla's but don't want the tires to rub and eat tie rods, will they fit is the question on a stock unit...I already cranked up the springs. Also any slip on exhuast imput welcome too. Thanks

I ran 28' on a stock wheel and no trimming. Shouldnt be an issue but every case may be a little different.

I put 28 mayhems on my 14 max. The tires are no where near the tie rods I'm not sure where they could possibly even rub

Mine were fine till I got elkas and they then rubbed the shock resivoir
How do u like the mayhems?
Love em. They are very capable tires. Not a fan of how rough they are on hardpack but that's the cost of doing business. I'm going to run them for a bit and see what happens, I may opt for something slightly less aggressive

Have you had them in some deep mud? Really looking for something that my a$$ won't get stuck with, but I really don't want a tire that weighs a ton.
Oh Ya I sure have. Went out last weekend in mud and water up to my racks. Pretty confident I could go through a lot of stuff in 2wd that my buddies Polaris and thundercats where getting stuck in 4wd with mudlights. They are a lot better then my old zillas I had on my kingquad. I think the max has something to do with it also

Stuff like that was no problem whatsoever

See less See more
They are heavy though. I think the tire weighs more then my stock tire and wheel combined

That looks like a fun ride. I've also been looking into outlaw 1's...for a mud tire there kinda light.
28" laws will rub the springs in the back without at least a 1" spacer.

What width outlaws? And outlaw 1's or 2's?
12.5" wide for the rear, 9.5 for front I think. Outlaw 1's

Well went ahead and got 28 mega's so far work great in the water. But I had and overheat display show up well playing in the lake and my fan wasn't engaging.
Where you in some mud. I hate the rad location but don't want to relocate it. Mine hasn't overheated but certainly gets warm if the rad gets clogged up

I think the power steering was over heating because of the massive amount of weeds and cat tails stuck in there...the engine dint go into limp mode so that's what I think the problem was...I'm gonna need some snorkels tho...any recommendations?
