I have a 2016 XMR 570 and a blown left front shock. Bangs away with every bump. I wanted to replace with an ELKA stage 3. I have contacted ELKA and they have told me they do not make any products for this machine. What other aftermarket shocks have you guys used for this machine that will fit?

I'm very disappointed... I'm still wondering what I can do. My left front BANGS with each bump encountered. Granted this didn't happen when new. But, I'd like to upgrade vs purchasing the short travel crappy stock shocks to fix the issue.

The below video is a little hard to hear and understand, but from what I understood, this youtuber compares a set of XMR 1000 shocks that were on his buddy's machine to the ones that are on his 16' XMR 570 and found out they were identical. The youtuber with the XMR 570 even swapped over the fox shocks and installed them on his machine and had no problems. Hmmmmm...

I decided to take a chance on the Elka Stage 3's today for my 16' XMR. I did some research from the parts fiche and found the suspension on my 16' XMR 570 is almost identical to the 16' Pro Hunter 570 except for the springs. Elka offers a suspension kit for the Pro Hunter edition, but not for the XMR. From what I found the upper and lower control arms, shocks, and steering knuckles are all identical between the two machines so these shocks should fit an XMR too. The company I purchased the shocks from has a 30 day money back guarantee which will allow me to send them back in the unlikely event they don't fit. I won't get the shocks until first or second week of September, but will keep you posted on if these will work.

Not saying it's the case here, and y'all probably already know this, but so many aftermarket manufacturers are so gun-shy to say "our product will work here, here, here, and here" when they know in the back of their minds that while yes, the (product) will fit/bolt-up, it may still not "work" for each and every user. Suspension is absolutely one of those playgrounds. They're factoring in machine weight, suspension travel, spring rates, shock valving, etc., when they come up with a product to offer. While we (know) most suspension components themselves are interchangeable, from a "will it it fit, yes" point of view, the rider may not be too thrilled with how the product actually "works" (performs) due to the minor differences in the machines suspension components as setup from the factory.

So the manufacturer just takes the safe way out and says "we don't offer anything for (insert application here)"
