Yes, it is full of gas...lol. The light resets after cutting it off. Took a little bit to come back. Runs great with no light. Kinda makes me wonder if they didn't plug the fan up or something.

 

What model CAN-AM 570? Doesn't it have a digital display with temp scale? 2020 850 Outlander XT does.. You should know if the fan is working if the temp scale doesn't read above set temp for fan to kick in.

 

Sounds like it’s overheating. The computer won’t let you hurt the motor so it goes through various stages of power limits until it just shuts off. Obviously the dealer should have done a more thorough PDI, but you can quickly check the coolant level...

 

I have a 2019 570 with about 400 miles on it, never had an issue. Back to the dealer for sure.

 

Since they charge you for PDI, of course they will look at this "for nothing" - there is a $50 (fee) for any warranty work which I would insist on them waving unless they are going to refund the couple hundreds bucks they charged for a PDI which either they didn't do or didn't do properly.

I would be looking for "something" for the aggrevation..

 

Should be free unless it’s going onto extended warranty
Bring that puppy into your dealer , could be as simple as a blown fuse on the fan circuit

The machine warranty is no charge... the extended warranty has the 50 fee and does not kick in till main warranty is done in 2-3 years.. if your dealer is charging u now find a new dealer

I bout a brand new 2018 outlander xmr and the same thing happened.. ended up being the fuel pump. But watch your dealer and be sure they know what they are doing . Because it cost me $1900.00 to get mine back and it was under factory warranty.....

 

That's ridiculous. How did they justify charging you $1900 for that?

I called and was told I would receive a call back as soon as a rep was available but never got the call back and sent an email but haven't had a response to that either.

 

Called the dealer today and they said the crank position sensor is bad. They are waiting on parts to arrive to put it on and see what happens.

 

Mine came from wyoming, was no problem to transfer it over to stupid california thanks to brp putting the appropriate emissions label sticker on it.

When I buy new ,,, oregon and transfer may be what happens for just this reason.

I'm still curious, is there a O2 sensor on the exhaust pipe under the rear inner fender ?

 

Great they are reaching out and standing behind the brand. We do shell out enough to own and have the ability to ride a reliable, quality machine. So far, I have really liked the Beast I bought!

 

Mine was great the little bit I have ridden it. Power was great and ride is pretty comfortable. Hopefully this is a one time thing and I won't have any more issues.

 

My 2019 450 outlander did that when it was new.
It's spent 3 of the 7 months I had it at the dealership.
It was a computer/wiring harness problem on my California Emission Compliant ATV.
My dealer and BRP could not rectify the problem.
We did reach a solution but I am not at liberty to discuss it.
At the time there were only 3 ATV's in the US with this problem.

If you do have a California model ATV with this problem, Exchange it for a non-California ATV.

Got it back today and it ran great for the few minutes I had to ride it.
