2up seat prevent theft?

Hey yall I remember seeing a thread on someone modifying the 2up by drilling a small hole in the handle but that's all I remember I don't remember what he exactly did nor what he used.

I've searched and searched can't seem to find anything.

I want to secure it so I don't have to pop it off as quads sit outside and there's some sticky fingers down the road lol.

This might not be helpful but I wouldn't think there would be a big market for stolen two-up seats. They only fit on the Max and if you have a Max you already have the seat.

Yeah, agreed, that's exactly what I thought.

But then I remembered the generic "2-UP" aftermarket units that mount on a regular ATV's rear rack. Maybe those have more theft appeal.
Our 2015 max had its seat stolen. Then last year neighbor had his seat from xmr stolen.

Since removal of the Max rear seat is so easy, theft is a valid concern. I would consider removing the seat and storing it indoors when there is a risk of theft or vandalism.

Sheesh...that is surprising and unfortunate. What the hell is someone going to do with that thing? It's not like you can easily adapt it to another machine.
Many thieves are opportunists they will take something just because they can.
