Is anyone else running 30" tires or similar on a stock bike? How have they been holding up? I may trade my 30x10 mudlight xxls for some 28" swamplights. I dont wanna be replacing axles every season . Bikes a 09 800r

30" Mudlites won't hurt anything. My wife ran them for years on completely stock bike with no problems, I ran all wide 30" Mudlites with no issues. Pulled them easier than most 28's.

Oh, and swamplites are anything but light. Miss leading name there... And they may be an ok tire (for a few), but there are so many other tires out there that out perform them that they really aren't even worth considering.

Of course this is just my opinion. :smilietwocents:

I rode 27" swamp lites on my grizzly for awhile and had no problem. Then sold grizzly to a buddy I ride with and he loves them. They ride smooth and seem to last. Backs and laws are obviously better in the mud but if you dont Want a strictly mud tire, swamp lites are a good tire

Also , figured id post this wuestion here instead of starting another thread. My wheels came with my bike , they are all chrome , the bike is camo.. So they dont really match , what would be the best way to paint the wheels without it chipping off ? Or should i just wait and trade them . There some brand of itp wheels

I was thinking on taking them to a rimshop and getting then powder coated. Not really sure if itll hold up though. Last thing i want is the powdercoating coming off and havinga half black and chrome wheel and have to do it again. Has anyone tried this ?
