Was out today grooming today and heard a "bang" and lost power to the front axle. Dove it out without the fronts help. Should be able to get it to the BRP shop on Tuesday.

No doubt you work the Can-Am hard. You should be a quality durability tester for Can-Am and get free upgraded components. Just an idea.

Hello, a few days ago we received a new work machine (Fire Rescue Service) Outlander 1000 Max 6x6. It is intended for rescue and transport from inaccessible places. It is an amazing machine. They are still getting to know it, it still needs to be fine-tuned for our special use.

We got our 6x6 back this week and learned that the front drive shafts are being blown by pod users on a regular bases. BRP knows this is a problem. It was covered under warranty but it is $900 repair job. If can-am does not fix this weak part design, we will be getting rid of this machine.....

Historically Kubota falied in the groomig world with there HST trannyes. I know guys who were breaking there axles left and right. I can't comment on there modern machines and we do not want or need a UTV,

Those tracks just look like a load and a half. On a working machine that much more.

For our friend ArlyA, he might have to up his game and get a dedicated machine that was designed, not retrofited, for snow work.

Are you going through both front axles, or specifically breaking the front right axle over and over?

The drive to the front differential gave out.

Ahh...Sounds like you either broke the prop...or the output on the transmission. Unfortunately we don't make a prop shaft for the Outtie. We don't make a lot of transmission parts for it either....at this time. If you're in need of axles, I can help you there.

This is the splines the was trashed. This is the short shaft the goes between the output and differential.

Is this blamed on the tracks, or is this also a problem with the 6x6 with wheels? Sounds like Can-Am needs to fix this right, not just do frequent repairs.

I don't do anything close to what you are doing with your 6x6, but still I am impressed with the 4x4 of my 570. Not good in deep snow, as it cannot get up on top of it, but the traction is great even on ice I have difficulty just walking on.

Seem this has been grief on older outlander 4x4's without pods and any outlander with pods. The bad splines I posted a pic of was on a 4x4 outlander.
