Hi Folks, Nice to be here with you. This week we were to our locale BRP dealership and tried to order a 6x6 max for next summer. We couldn't get that done but we will shortly. We have owned and used for work a Polaris Boss for years now and like it very, very much, but needed the extra HP and power assisted steering for operating with pods on while in snow. Yes, it really does snow here. Ask if you'd like to see past pics of the boss. Hope everyone's fall is the very best!

Like much of the midwest, little snow and wind happening here today so instead of being out on our ski trails, I got the machine in to melt off and wire it for implements. In the bottom photo on the left, you can see the power plug for the implement control box that will be located in the 6x6 box.

Hello, a few days ago we received a new work machine (Fire Rescue Service) Outlander 1000 Max 6x6. It is intended for rescue and transport from inaccessible places. It is an amazing machine. They are still getting to know it, it still needs to be fine-tuned for our special use.

How long does it take you to change wheels for belts?

Ahh...Sounds like you either broke the prop...or the output on the transmission. Unfortunately we don't make a prop shaft for the Outtie. We don't make a lot of transmission parts for it either....at this time. If you're in need of axles, I can help you there.

Do the double boot mod/upgrade.

@xsever you got that thread handy?

If ya ever get a chance to, I'd also do the solid motor mounts.

It's using the rigid boot on both ends. Ostacruiser gets credit for the "mod", but it's fairly well-known now afaik.

The accordion boot allows that shaft to move ever so slightly, sliding between the through shaft and the front diff input. When you're really torquing the motor, it can allow for just enough slack for that front shaft to pop out, and you get what you've got.

Solid motor mounts and double-rigid-booting the front shaft is the cure.

So its the moving backwards or forwards and popping out, not the failure of the splines while engaged... o_O

I think it was @xsever that covered this mod front to back, did you find his thread?
