I just bought a 2013 limited and already the back ACS won't stay full the air seems to be coming out on it's own, anyone else has had this issue?

Thx

Back in the day, I used to blow out the air shocks on my hotrods all the time. First thing I said to myself when I read about the ACS system with the onboard pump was no way in hell. Just looking for continuous issues down the road. More bells and whistles just mean more things to break. Would rather just put a good suspension on the bike for the cost and be done with it. That's just me although I can see the benefits of having an adjustable system.

What do you mean it's letting the air out all by itself?

Are the shocks going soft even though your ACS Setting remains where you left it?

Is it possible that the ACS is dropping back to setting 2 after you go past 35mph like the previous model years?

If you have a leak, the ACS should sense the pressure drop, and continue to turn the compresor on and off to keep it at set pressure.

I'm not exactly sure how the air is getting out, but the front one is staying filled up. I will get the extended 3 year waranty now that I've seen some of these "minor" issues arising so early, I've only got 225 miles on the darn thing. It's brand spanking new.

Problem with mine is had no give to shocks. Didnt like the dropping to two. Put elkas and 2" bracket lift on '11 xmr. Extended rear axles and used 09 upper a arms to get rid of excess camber. Much nicer ride now. Air suspension was a great idea that in reality sucked. Havent met anyone yet that hasnt had some sort of problem with them

Well brought in my new Can Am Commander 1000 Ltd to have them look into the problem in losing the air out of my back ACS shocks, and they were very helpful and just changed the entire compressor since it was still under warranty, but guess what the air still comes out.

They spent $1400 on a new compressor, I had told them that it could be a back flow valve or something really small, but they just went and changed it. Ah well now I've got to bring ti back in and have them start all over again. lol

it sucks but on the bright side they don't seem to mind paying to get it fixed.

I had the same problem happen to me on my xmr, the only difference was the front was airing out.. I would crank it to setting 6 the back would lift and the front would just bleed out, not really airing up. I brought it in and they fixed it. I don't remember exactly what it was, but I think it was something about the module, or whatever controls the airflow, sensor of some kind.

air ride problems

The air lines to the rear shocks have been replaced three times due to air leaking from the fittings on the lines. The lines are getting to hot from the exhaust. There is no heat protection from the exhaust. I just now placed exhaust wrap heat tape on the lines and exhaust pipe. Our dealer replaced the lines the first two times but I had to buy the last set of lines.
The sxs gets a lot hotter and uncomfortable than I think is normal. Does anyone know of a fix ?

I have a 2011 xmr. My rear shocks release sometimes when we ride 2 up. Even when we are doing 10 mph. I give them a minute they air right back up. Took it to dealer all they did is blow lines out. I learned to deal just deal with it.
