I just completed DIY turn signals and horn. I ordered 2” LED lights from Aliexpress for the rear. I removed the reflectors and added these. I ordered the front lights from eBay. They operate as DRL’s then change to yellow for turn signals. The horn kit I ordered from eBay. I think I have around $200.00 invested. I also added indicator lights and USB charge ports for my tablet.

I added a rear KFI bumper and an Action Packer Rubbermaid box for storage.

Here is my tablet mount and Zumo XT mount.

I absolutely love this side by side. I’ve only been out for a couple of rides but I’m very impressed so far.

For anyone interested here's the link for what I used for the rear turn signal lights.

I purchased wire, ring connectors and bullet connectors from a local automotive shop.

Horn I purchased on eBay.
Horn kit.

I did a search on YouTube to learn how to run the wires and remove body panels. If you have a basic understanding of 12 volt circuits you can save money by doing it yourself.

The bumper is very easy to mount. You have to drill four holes in the dump bed. You drill them through existing holes in the tubing from underneath. It mounts very similar to the OEM bumper. Once the holes are drilled you mount two brackets with four carriage bolts and two plates. I loosely attached the plates then bolted the bumper to the brackets with six bolts, then tightened all the bolts. You can download the instructions from KFI's website.
I don't think the horn sounds like a train but it's very loud. You will have to modify the kit by cutting off the power connection and making your own connection for under the dash. If your a little handy you won't have any trouble.

I'd like to know where you got the mount piece that clamps around the passenger hand hold with the ball on it. I have the tablet holder but I've had to cobble up a clamp that isn't very steady. Also, what goes on the smaller one with the electric contacts in the center? It looks like what I have on my Spyder GPS.

You can load Bobt maps for Hatfield McCoy trails. I have a micro usb card that has Canadian ATV and snowmobile tracks from Backroad Maps.

I also use Garmin MapSource to draw tracks then transfer GPX tracks to the Zumo via Garmin Explore app. I’ve used it to locate gas stations and restaurants when riding.

I love the black & grey with the tinted windows! Those would be my dream colors if I ever got a Defender. I love your ride man
