Advice on buying used outlander 800

I'm looking at possibly buying a used can-am. I found an outlander 2011 800r xxc for sale on Craigslist looks to be in good condition with 355 miles and 58 hours. It comes with the original wheels and tires plus a set of 14" msa's with 28" Zilla's with supposedly 50 miles on them. I don't care for the wheels and that tire is definitely not for me. What do you think this is worth? He is asking $8100 obo, I'm thinking $7200 is a fair price.

What should I look for, anything that wears excessively? Any problem areas? Should this particular year or model be avoided?

Thanks guys

It's actually a great year model to buy! In 2011, you will be getting the most refined version of the gen1 chassis.

What other mods are on the bike?

Check over the usual. Check the oil and air filter, shake the bike down (axles, tires, drive shafts, etc) for any worn parts, look over the seals for any leaks. Big thing is to make sure you talk with the seller for a while. It's easy to ask a few slick questions and really get a good feel for how honest of a guy he is and how the bike has been treated.
No other mods mentioned. Just the stock wheels and tires plus fairly new MSA wheels and Zilla's, claims he spent $940 on them. Zilla really isn't my tire, I would rather have a terra cross or big horn really want the Black Diamond XTR's. He came down to $7500 on the phone.
You have any pics of it?
The bike looks really good! I'd say $7500 is a deal on it. The book value is over that for sure.
Yeah that's a decent price for that with low miles/hours. $940 for the MSA wheels & tires is believable. I'd go check it out. Good luck!
I'd give him the seven & a half .
Sell those goofy looking "hood" wheels & tires , put a set of HTR's on the included beadlocks & smile from ear to ear .
Check the steering-stem bushings & A-rm's for wear & fresh grease on all the Zerks .
Wiggle the driveshafts & listen for unusual clutch and piston noise too.
I looked at it. I have been looking at new atv's as well, so the wow factor just isn't there on used. Plastics are scuffed, some decals peeling, bumper dinged up, which I knew would be the case. The pictures look way better than in person, I'm not saying it's beat up or bad, it's just used and rode on the trails. Some mud and dust pretty high up, lots of dust and dirt fell out when checking the air filter, it had a uni on it and was clean. I know it can be hard to wash this, I couldn't tell if it was rode in high water and mud or not. Some oil residue on the side of the motor, don't really think it's a leak, but who knows. It also has a small led light bar on the front, when he first turned the lights on, he hadn't started the quad, the led light was flickering and wouldn't come on, he flipped the switch a couple of times and it still flickered the headlights worked though. He started it and flipped the light on again and it worked, maybe low voltage when the quad wasn't running? I'm torn on what to do. I was originally looking at a Brute Force or King Quad new before I saw this listing. For less than a thousand more I can have brand new and a 1 year warranty. I know this is a can-am forum and you may think that's a bad idea, but I have no brand alliance

Yea pictures can be deceiving sometimes. If you're not 100% in love with it, don't buy it. You can pick up some left over 2014s for really good deals sometimes. Shop around!
