air shock stiffness

well my air system was giving me grief so to be able to ride it i removed the air shocks capped off the system and put on regular shocks.
i dont wanna give up on the air system completely yet, like the adjumstabiltity. so was wondering if anyone has experience with them or has also remove them,

my question is how stiff are the front shocks off the machine? i could lean on the front and compress them and they seemed normal, but once removed with no plugs in the air holes. i can lean on the rears and compress them like a shock should ( this is removed and pushing on shock against the floor) but the 2 front ones don't budge. I'm 250 and can lift myself off the ground pushing on them and the don't budge, is this just how they are or could this be my problem ?

Ok My son just had this happen to his 2012 XMR in April. His shocks would pump up and the rears would release the air, But the front would not release the pressure.
Went to the dealer and they replaces a sensor part number 710001825 cost was $150 Canadian list for $139 US online.
I also have a 2012 XMR I was out last week and now my front shocks will not release pressure so I am going to order the same part. This should fix it. The dealer said that this is a typical part that fails on the air ride system.
Maybe this is why it is not on the new XMR bikes

Hi

One of my rear air assist shocks needs repair since I already have some problems with the air system I wish to replace to regular shocks.
Can you tell me what is the load required? If you have a specific Fox Racing model it would help.
