BSR33-49E hose routing; 2005 Outlander 400

Good morning. I just finished installing a brand new carb on my 2005 Outlander 400 max 4x4. My question is where do the two small rubber hoses go that come pre-attached to the carb, are these just vent lines? Anyone have a photo?

I have a 2004(?) 330(?) Outlander 2WD here with a similar(possibly the same?) carb and it appears that the longer of the two lines is routed towards the back of the drive belt housing and points at the ground whereas the original hose on my 400 went to the front of the machine.
