Can am stutters / falters ???!!!!

I have a can am renegade 800 from 2009.
When i go out and drive everything works like it should. But when i do a wheelie it strats stuttering/faltering afterwards. So i land on the ground and it starts losing gas presure. The can am does not die. i put him in reverse and back in H or L and it works fine again.
until i do a wheelie again.
I always have enough fuel.

Was at the can am dealer and they could not find the problem.

does someone knows what the problem could be?

Sounds to me like there could be a fuel pick-up issue inside the tank.

Welcome to the site

I'm also thinking you've got a fuel pickup/pressure issue. There's nothing else on these machines, as far as a "tilt sensor" or whatever, that could cause the symptoms you're describing. You might need to pull the pump and check the regulator o-ring, check the pump output hose, etc.

Reminds me of the story about a guy going to see a doctor and complained about a terrible headach that he was suffering everytime he hit himself in the head with a hammer. The doctor told him the cure was to "quit hitting himself in the head with the hammer".

But on a serious note, I agree with Freewill and Bomb, it sounds like it is a fuel pickup problem.

I cleaned the fuel tank. everything looks good. didn't come across anything unusual. unfortunately it still has the same problem.

what can i do regarding the fuel pickup. do i have to replace the whole pump?

could there be something else wrong with it

could be the fuel pump pressure regulator. they dont ussually go bad just need cleaned. but if your going to clean it or just change it out, i would swap out the fuel pump while your in there as they are one of the things that go bad on theses machines every few years. some of the places sell the pump, regulators and screens at a a good price. and yes you can just swap out the regulator and pump with out buying the whole unit and thats what most people do because the whole unit from can am is about $350 usd and a pump regulartor kit can be found for about $100.
