I’ve had my Can-Am radiator relocate kit since new and it has overheated regularly regardless of temperature. I had a solid windshield and went to a SuperATV flip up windshield. The only time it doesn’t overheat is when the windshield is up. Stays at 180-190 when up. Heats up to 235 when not.

I had it burped at the shop twice to see if there is air trapped that is heating up. Minimal results. I’m considering several fixes to the issue - (1) a side scoop that funnels air into the radiator (2) reverse polarity of the fan so that it “sucks” the hot air out, or (3) a better fan

Has anyone experienced this? What are your fixes? Need help, it’s pissing me off that my $45k machine can’t do something simple like stay cool. Simple fixes please - don’t say “buy A Hess cooler” so I just continue throw money at it. I want to be able to keep the windshield down or up so I can ride in cold weather a bit easier.

My cooling fan was iced up one time and my engine hit 278 degrees.

Bad water pump or bad thermostat. There were stories of radiator being plugged up.

If I'm understanding the issue correctly, it appears to be airflow-related? Having the windshield down minimizes airflow through the radiator, creating almost a hotbox where the air just deadheads?

What's the fan setup? Front as a pusher/rear as a puller? Rear as a pusher would be a no-go, to me. You'd be fighting the natural airflow created by the machine traveling.
