Clutch Spring Tuning

Looking for guidance with springs. I have a 12 Rene 800, stock size but more aggressive tires (blk diamonds).

This is ATV is new to me but I'm very familiar w ATVS in general. The launch is good but doesn't pull the front end like I would expect. I believe the clutch to be slipping slightly. I pulled the clutch cover and found the belt on backwards! I already bought a new EPI white primary and a EPI red secondary. In my research it appeared these might help bring life back to my clutch. I also have a new Severe Duty EPI belt.

I know changing each of these will alter the clutch behavior and I haven't even tested it by changing the belt direction. Although the belt was on backwards the clutch cover was clean.

So drawing on the experience of the forum where do you guys think I should start?

I ride a varied terrain. Trails 75/aggressive/hills 15/mud 10.

The clutch kits didn't do what you would think they should on the larger machines. You did a bunch of work on my kids etons years ago. Your best bet is aftermarket primary. You will get a lot of different opinions on who's is best. I havnt run all so can't say what is best but I can tell you the clutch kits I ran didn't come close to com pairing to a new primary. I happy with my STM setup I have.

Clutch is pretty good but I just feel it needs to be fresh so I didn't waste my time on a kit. I'm just not as familiar with the spring level or strength on the big bore machine.

What exactly are you looking to achieve? Whats your shift out now? How bout your engagement rpm? All that primary spring will do is affect your stall.
Oh and you really can't put a belt on backwards. If it went on with the arrows facing the wrong way from new, then keep putting it on that way if you take it off. The arrows are just to make sure it always gets installed the same way if you ever remove it for service or whatever.
I feel the clutch is slipping slightly. There is a power loss in my opinion with this machine and I feel it's coming from the clutch. I feel the springs are weak and the stall needs to be elevated but not much. I just want my baseline power back.

I researched and could be wrong that's why I was asking the gurus opinion on what these springs will do.
