Commander hubcaps?

Just bought a 2018 Commander 800 DPS. Great machine and I will put it to use a lot. We live in central Colorado mountains. There are no hubcaps on the wheels. I went to a dealer in Denver to buy/order them, and they told me there is not any hubcaps. The clerk at the ATV store showed me the picture in the parts list, which had every component from the end of the axle to the parts behind the wheel. There is no hubcap shown. Seems like the open end of the axle, where there is only a bolt showing, would let dust and rain into the wheel bearing area. Is the clerk correct that there is not hubcaps on the wheels? Thanks for your help. Dan

You should have seen the inner and outer axle seals in the parts diagram. Those are what's responsible for keeping the environment out of the wheel bearings. That same basic design has been the same on every ATV I've ever had a chance to work on.
