Commander making noise from fuse box

Discovered commander making a noise coming from under the dash in the fuse box area. disconnected the battery and charged and found noise still present when having a battery maintainer connected. anyone heard of this??

Fuseboxes are strictly a safety valve for the electrics. And, as far as I know, should be silent.

LOL. . . . i may have been born at night but it want last night. The noise is a constant high to medium pitch squeeling.

my commander 1000 was making this noise just the other day, it was caused by being under water... although mine is snorkeled, it's not waterproof just yet, and well, after I got out of the water, road it all day, the next morning, i heard the same high pitched noise. It was moisture in the fuse box, which I think was shorting out a relay... once dried out, the noise went away...

by the way, the noise might have been there before you hooked up the battery charger, you just didn't know it, relay was stuck and perhaps caused your battery discharge, at least that's what happened to mine. just pop off the fusebox cover and check the relays for good connection and no moisture, let it dry out, charge it up and Roll ON!

Yep found the relay box holding water.
