With a bit of bit of thinking and mocking up old racks from the local dump, I mounted a Yamaha Grizzly 700 rear rack with a cross member from a Honda TRX 350 onto the front end of my Can Am Outlander XMR 1000R.
I've also added Honda TRX 300 fender extensions to the front and rear.

All in all, I like it.
Atleast I will be able to carry an axtra jerry can and place my brug bag in the front.
I will be placing a rifle case and/or rifle mount at the very front.
I also want to make an extension to the rear rack in the near future.

What are your thoughts on this jimmy-rigged set up?
Hahaha
Another question -
What would cause the winch to stop working?
All that is happening is an audible clicking noise and also won't spin freely.
Thanks!

The rack's not hideous, tbh. Could stand to be color-matched to the rest of the frontend, but I mean, you restored some functionality to an XMR frontend, so that's a win in my book (y)

I'm not sold on the non-OE fender flares, but it's your machine

Winch could be the contactor, could be the winch motor itself. Doesn't power in either direction in or out?

Thanks brother.
I agree, colour matching would look great, I may do that in the future when I can no longer stand the raw material that come with time and abuse.
I'm just stoked that I get to add some more supplies to my hunting trips.

The Honda fenders were a must just cause that is all I saw at the dump. Hahaha

Cheers!
