After looking over the available options (dusty dog $$$$$) I decided to just build my own, cost was $25 dollars.

Base is a 1/2inch plywood with screwed 2x4's around the edge. Side are 2x4's screwed together. One end has a lower brace so the dog can jump in/out with a berm of dirt on that side. I then tie a rop across the top end so he doesn't decide to jump out after a squirrel or deer.

Went for a 25 mile logging road ride and it works great. Added bonus it acts like a back rest as well. Going to track down some dense foam to glue to area behind by back.

Nothing like taking the pup for a ride. I used to take my old service dog Brandy (RIP old girl) riding on my quad bike. Lengthened the rear rack with a plywood base then added a tool box to each side for "walls" and storage. At the back end there was a plywood tailgate. She just climbed up on the seat, then got in behind me. There was straps with buckles that I could hook onto her harness for rugged terrain. New dog, (Sophie) rides in the new machine (Defender 6x6) but no photos or videos of her in it yet.

Nice, you should reply with your pics and vid in my post, I am sure others would like to see it. (doh never mind) My old dog that passed away loved the quad too. He love to run along side me. My new pup would see a deer and be gone forever. I need to train him before I let him free range on the mountain. We drive logging roads to the top of the mountain. They have hundreds and maybe even thousands of miles of logging roads in my back yard. You could get lost on the mountain here very easy. I mark the right turns with 4 rocks and go straight with 2 rocks. Left turn are 3 rocks.

Great dog you have, he loves the quad.
