Definitely isn’t on this one !!!Can't speak for that specific model but every Can Am I have ever played with has had about 1/8" of belt showing around the OD of both clutches when at rest .
Belt seems to be oem belt I did however notice some slight wear on the belt. I also noticed there is oil in the case and on the clutches is this normal ? Here is the best bird eye view of the clutch I could get without tearing everything else apart. View attachment 110960If the secondary is hanging open it would cause your issue . Having too long or narrow belt would as well .
Verify belt OE #
And post a bird's-eye view if the secondary.
2004 can am Bombradier rally 200Again , I'm not familiar with that particular model but that belt looks way too low in the secondary.
There should be no oil in the area of either the clutches or the belt . I'd double check that belt P/N first as it's the easiest thing to do.
What year is the bike ?
yes there called rally 200 butthey have a 175cc engine. Thank you for the part number. And thank you for your help so far. I’m gonna clean all the oil out and try a new belt.It shows a Rally 175 , maybe it's a Traxter? .
The 175 P/N is 420280220
the belt that is on it now has the same numbers accept the 420.It shows a Rally 175 , maybe it's a Traxter? .
The 175 P/N is 420280220
Either of those scenarios would explain belt slippage. Both would certainly cause issues. How wide is the belt? There is a minimum width service spec. Where's the oil getting into the belt box from?I did however notice some slight wear on the belt. I also noticed there is oil in the case and on the clutches
Not sure where oil is coming from I don’t see any cracks in the case. I will have to measure the belt width.Either of those scenarios would explain belt slippage. Both would certainly cause issues. Crank seal or gearbox input shaft seal .I just can’t figure out how oil got in there
