Engine Oil Coolers?

1863 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  Rikter
I recently bought a 2015 Maverick Turbo. I'm about to do the ten hour service and thought I'd install a Mr. RPM spin-off oil filter kit. While looking at that, I noted that their brother company, Mad Motorsports, offers an auxiliary engine oil cooler to go with the filter kit.

I'm in Nevada where it can get pretty warm. I am at the base of mountains that require a 4,000 v.ft. climb to access. I'm thinking that an oil cooler would be helpful.

Has anyone used the Mad Motorsports product? Is anyone running a different brand of oil cooler that they like?

Thanks for your advice,

Dave

Put one on my Outy 800. It helped to bring racing/fast riding temps across the board down by 20 to 30 degrees F. Oil change is just a bit messier.
