Thanks in advance - picked up a lightly used MAX XTP 1000 and I'm wondering if the previous owner cranked down the springs to get more ground clearance or if they are still set to factory level tension. Here's a picture of where mine are set to if anyone can share their rear spring settings (especially if factory settings are still in place). Just wonder if I should loosen these up a bit...

Wow, I have an 850 XT-P and mine are not even half that low. I would say they were cranked down.

This is the way my 2022 1000 max xtp came stock. Haven't adjusted them yet.

I am not at home right now but as soon as I get home this weekend I will look at mine. Like I mentioned I do have an 850 XT-P. Not sure if there would be a difference though.

You are welcome. It does look weird compared to what I am used to seeing over the years, but it works phenomenally great. Love this machine, it's amazing.

I believe the 21 850s are 2 stage springs. That would explain the extra threads. Hhhmmmm.

When I was dialing in my suspension I found from the factory they were set at zero preload.


How does it feel in the rough stuff? Have you jumped it? How high?

It is an XTP after all.
