Fiarlead that fits 2023 Outlander 570

New to Can Am and just purchased the 570 Outlander. I have a Badland 2500 Winch and i hope that buying the HF mounting plate and a little mod if necessary, I can get it to fit. Is there a fairlead that I can purchase that will bolt right up without having to modify it like the one that comes with the winch?

Welcome to the site!

In my experience most ATV fairleads, at least any targetted at Can-Ams, have the same bolt pattern. Are you sure the one that came with the winch won't work?
There are some options, on Amazon I saw 6" bolt hole and the more common 4 7/8 bolt pattern. When you get the mounting plate just measure the distance between the two holes and go to Amazon and order the appropriate one.
It's the 4 7/8 fairlead for our bikes. The larger 6" is what you will find on large winches, like 7500lb+
Also make sure you get a hawse fairlead if using synthetic rope, out aroller fairlead for steel.

What modification does that fairlead require?

A fairlead has to be the same width as the drum on the winch. Most 2500 lb winches that I have seen have a 3 inch wide drum. That requires a fairlead with a 3'' wide opening. The bolt pattern on such a fairlead would be 4 7/8''.

Chances are the new winch will bolt right in to your 570 without requiring a mounting plate.

I did not want to drill another hole in the fairlead that I have so it would work if there were ones that fit the bolt width. Just seeing what people here were using. I figured the Badland winch is somewhat common and the fairlead is to wide for the outlander 570. Thanks for the ino

I appreciate it

Irrelevant for this discussion, but those are generally 10 inches.

10" shows up more common on 10k+ winches designed for automotive industry, 7.5k and up used on sxs are typically 6"
Yeah, I'm used to automotive, where even a 3,500 lb. winch has the (to me) standard 10" spacing.
Obviously it all has to do with the width of the drum.

That's a problem. Too many of these places will sell an automotive style winch but market it as an ATV/UTV winch. Sucks for the end user. When they find out the bolt patterns for the fair lead and often for the winch itself don't fit. Really bad with a lot of off brand winches.
Learned to stay away from off-brand winches long ago after being part of an extensive winch test, and then from experience.

Been sticking with Warn for the very most part, but apparently even their little ones are imports now. Recently made an exception and bought a ComeUp winch. I'm impressed by its quality, but it's a 24 volt 18,000 lb. unit, and their small winches may not be made to quite the same standards. If they are, that's probably what I'd get if the Defender's OE winch gives up.
