First time can-am owner problems.

I just bought my first can-am 2013 outlander 1000xt with looney tuned exhaust and power commander 5. When I bought it it had 48 hours on it and no problems. Gave it a good shakedown before buying. Had it two weeks now and I'm having all kinds of problems. The bike runs awesome, but the lcd screen only lights up now, won't show any readings! Also the bike is saying new ecu detected when the screen does work! Please help guys I'm sick to my stomach with how much I paid and I'm having these problems :th_smiliepissed::th_smiliepissed:

may be a key issue. is it cracked?
No the key is not cracked. I read somewhere to clean it with a scotch brite pad and I did.
Is the connector on the rear of the pod on nice and tight? Sounds like it's half off.

I'll try that. It Hausa radiator relocation on it, will I have to remove it and the racks to get to the back of the pod?
I wouldn't think so but not familar with that setup.
Any idea why it's saying new ecu detected? I was thinking that possibly the power commander had wiggled a little loose and was flipping on and off

I had this happen on my machine when the on/off switch on the handle bar got wet from power washing. Take it apart, you may have some moisture in there.
while checking for moisture make sure contact points are clean
I put a new handle bar switch on today, still no changes, bike starts and runs out fine! Just no signs on the display. When I engage the 4wd, a little green light appears but doesn't show the emblem. No numbers or anything on the bike

Just grab the pod and pull up
