So I recently started noticing that my front diff is slipping. Not good right? Decide to tear it apart and both the pinion gear and big gear are worn down, hence the slippage. So I call the local dealer, and the guy says the big gear is 607$ and the small one is 144$. The entire diff is 1200$. So I get pissed and hang up haha. Get on the net and it's the same price. Start digging and find that the part number for the gears(on standard models) hasn't changed since 06. So I can buy and old used diff and but the gears from it in mine and I save myself about 600$. Hope ya'll read this and do the same. Or correct me if you think it won't work for some reason as I haven't ordered the parts yet.

I feel like you're going to need more than just gears.... I've never ever seen a pinion "skip" teeth from being worn. That's A LOT of wear.... I can almost guarantee there are other issues. Are you sure you just aren't hearing the diff lock clutches stripping out? It's pretty common.
