Its the visco lok and at this point is normal in the defenders.
Take it to the dealer and they have a partial fix.

Front End Noise
I have a ‘21 Defender Limited with 225 miles and there is a “ratcheting” noise coming from the front when turning full right or left. Almost sounds like a tire rub but it’s not. Could this be the CV joints or??
I have used the Defender for plowing snow using a Western V Plow.

My 21hd9 was doing the same thing, just picked it up last week and so far it’s better but only have 1 Mile on it since then.
