Front tow hook

Hello
I have a new 2016 Commander and I want to have a good place to hook a tow cable or a tie down to the front. I've watched a few people winch themselves out and I have winched a few big 4 X 4's out of some pretty tough spots. One thing you can do is pick up a snatch block (a pulley tou can pass your winch cable through to double up your winch strength ) even though I may never need to utilize the amount of power I can gain by doing this, this will help save battery drain and the life of the winch. Low voltage is the number one killer of electrical components.
What I need is a safe place to hook the winch cable back to the Commander after passing the cable through the snatch block. Has anyone here installed such a device?

Thank you

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. It took me a while to get to the machine to see this receiver mount. I must be blind all I see it the winch. Sorry to be confused and I am somewhat sight challenged. I'm wondering if the 2016 has a front receiver. When it stops raining I'll go dig out the machine and crawl under it if I have to. Thanks for your time.

After looking this part up it says that you need part #715000704 to install this. After looking up that part and finding a winch mounting plate. This is leading me to think it won't work if a factory winch is already installed.

This might get a bit expensive.

That I don't know about. I just recall thinking of getting one for moving trailers around my yard but thought when I went riding without the ball mount stuck in there it was just going to get packed full of mud. So that's why I never got one.

By looking at the machine there is. Little doubt in my mind that it would not work. There is a few reasons I made this post one being locating a good spot to hook a tie down to the machine for when I trailer it. When the machine was delivered the driver was trying to clean off the marks left by the strap he had fed through the front bumper. I imagine that after a few trips to the north country it would be paint I need to worry about. This machine is going to be babied all its life so I am going to continue down the path of finding or fabricating a hook OT D ring or rings to the fron of the machine. Thank you for bringing up the front Recieved hitch it sure would be handy as I own a couple of trailers.

Thank you

I had built my front receiver mount. It's actually quite easy. Nothing more than a plate with 6 mounting holes , a 2"x2" tube welded to it and a spring-loaded pin. Then built a heavy duty drawbar with a heavy ring on the end. I've done a lot of pulling with that setup in all directions and never had a problem.

loop strap

i always use a loop strap weather im winching from the front or pulling someone out.
you can wrap it around the frame in the front by the winch and the hook up to the winch hook.
i use them on all occasions and very rarely use just the winch hook alone unless i have to,it protects your machine and the others that you pull out.
they come in many lengths so you can get what you want...i have a 6 footer
no need to install any attachments...go through your snatchblock and back to your machine and hook up to the strap.
these straps have many uses and are worth every penny...good to have a couple of them.

What's the breaking strength on those? Best I could find was 18" long ones with 4500lb breaking strength.
