Took the Commander to Glamis. Wow!!! The machine will hold any line in the dunes. I am going to put some Scat Track haulers on it. The engine keeps the rpm's up. I was going 55 around the big bowl and 35 up Oldsmobile hill (the haulers would have made a lot better speed on Oldsmobile). The suspension works great. As with any side by side traversing from one dune to another takes a bit of getting used to the Commander does it with ease. I would still like it to be about 4" wider.

The ergonomics are great. I even let my girlfriend drive and the ability to move the seat forward was good for her.

I was running 6.5 pounds pressure in the tires.

The gauge package is cool.

All in all big thumbs up. Such a huge improvement from the Rhino.

We are very happy with it. Some sand tires and a whip and go have fun. Thats the way it should have been alll along.:th_smiliethumbsup:

Hey Spud, congrats on your new X! Really good to see you're happy with it :)

If you don't mind, when you have a minute, would you be so kind as to measure the exact end to end of your X? Perhaps from the rear corner to front corner, as well as underneath the utv getting a true center end to end measurement...?

I've got a 10' garage toy hauler and I'm really hoping I can make an X fit inside it before we take the plunge.

Thanks in advance, and enjoy the new toy!

Ok. 2nd trip out to the dunes. The Commander has power, but there we a few hills that backed it off. I noticed that the first time, but figured it was due to the tires. I might be running too much pressure in the haulers. I am running 6.0 PSIG. I always run 4 to 4.5 on my Banshee.

I need to find out what the snowmobile engine has that gives it 120 HP.

Something else I don't like is the throttle not being immediate. Hopefully there will be a kit to make throttle actuation manual. I like to get little wheelies off obstacles. The delayed throttle response eliminates that.

There seems to be a lot of things that rattle and buzz. I will get some weather stripping zip ties etc. and quiet them down.

Overall I like this machine. It is light years ahead of the Rhino. The fact that I'm trying the monster hills and can't quite make it is a testament to the Commander. Wheelies off obstacles. Never thought about that with the Rhino.

Very good platform to get some serious performance out of.
