Grooves on outer half of primary

Need some advice from more experienced riders out there. My 2015 Commander was running terrible. Quite jerky. Took apart clutch. Belt was shot. There are grooves on the outer half of the primary. Should I replace this or is it OK? Any way to machine those out?

The grooves are mostly cause by running at low speed in high gear. If you have an orbital ir vibrator sander make a few passes in circular motion and at same angle of sheave face with 1st. 220 grit paper and then 400 followed by a good finish with med grit Scotch Brite. "& USE LOW WHEN GOING SLOW as in Under 35 MPH!

If you should decide to try ssdaysoff25 suggestion, take some pictures of the results and provide some feed back on the results. You got nothing to lose and it may prove very informatiave.
Good Luck.

I usually clean em up with some 600 grit sand paper and run em. Those don't really look too bad.

Belt was shot. There are grooves on the outer half of the primary.
Do you mean that the belt was worn below the limit or that it was ragged?

Were there any grooves on the inner sheave? I find it odd that there would only be grooves on the outer sheave.

What shape are the one way bearings in?

I am trying to imagine how a belt can wear sharp grooves like that.

The inner sheave was fine.
The belt was worn and also has a small groove. I will post a photo.
Bearings were stiff also.
I did my best to take grooves out with 320, 400 the finished with 600 grit. I could not completely smooth it down.
Will post photo as well.

Looks good. Your biggest issue was those burn marks on your belt.
