Hey all,
My 2014 650 XT seems to be hard starting.
I went for big ride this past Saturday and it was super warm and humid, We stopped to take a break and clear the dust out of our teeth. When we were ready to take off again my bike hardly started.
I had recently changed the stator and had checked all voltages from stator, rectifier and battery and all were good.
At start up, even today, it seems likes it’s fighting to start, as if there isn’t enough power to turn it over.
Any ideas?
TIA

The batteries in these things, for the most part, just aren't as durable/robust as your typical automotive style batteries. It might not have survived the stator discharge situation. Can you load test it?

....could also be a bad ground .
Thanks,
My battery is shot.
Picking up a new one today so hopefully I’ll feel more confident with turning it on and off when I’m out in the woods.
Cheers.
