hard time stating started

my 2011 800 outlander is having an issue starting all the sudden, was fine last time rode it about month or two ago. but heres what it does, turn key on push start button, turns over fires start for a second and dies, does it a couple time then start fine. almost ilke needing a carb job, but obviously not carbonated. once started it runs and idles like normal. just every couple time go to start it and it fires like starting like normal but doesn't stay running just turns over fires like its gonna run like normal but dies. any suggestions?
